A hiker of the Atalaya Trail discovered what appeared to be human remains on the mountain. The hiker reported the discovery to this agency and an investigation was started. It was confirmed that human remains were found and the case is under investigation. The identity of the victim is not known at this time.

Victim stated she arrived home and observed backdoor unlocked. Victim stated an unknown person(s) entered her residence by shattering the bathroom window. Victim stated the unknown person(s) took a camcorder, cash jewelry and above stated vehicle. Estimated amount taken is unknown.

Suspect: Marcos A. Gonzales, age 33, El Rito, NM
Charged: Aggravated DWI, Careless Driving, No Insurance, Driver's must be licensed, Registration required
Above listed male was involved in a single motor vehicle crash at above location. Driver and passenger both admitted to leaving the Sports Bar in Pojoaque after consuming alcohol. Driver displayed signs of impairment but was unable to perform SFST's due to injuries sustained in crash. Driver admitted to drinking "a lot of beers" and was read the New Mexico Implied Consent Act at the hospital to which he agreed and blood results are pending. Driver was admitted into St. Vincent Hospital for injuries.

Above person was observed travelling west on Airport Road weaving from lane to lane. Trafic stop was initiated and above person was found to be impaired due to intoxicating liquor or drug. Above person was arrested and transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center. Breath test was given and results were .26, .22, .24.

Charged: Aggravated DWI, Careless Driving, Leaving the scene of an accident
On 11/4/07 at about 0530 vehicle 1 was travelling northbound on Santa Fe County Road 56 just north of Via de los Romeros. Suspect was located about 1 mile away from the crash which the vehicle was located rolled over on the shoulder. Driver admitted to driving and drinking about 15 beers. He admitted to changing a CD on the stereo which caused him to lose control and roll the vehicle over. He refused to perform SFST's and chemical testing. Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Stolen: 5,000 Watt Titan Gas Generator, Valued at $3000.00
The victim reported that unknown person(s) entered the victim's unlocked residence via the front door. The suspect(s) went through the residence but nothing appears to have been stolen at this time. The suspects did steal a gas generator from the side of the residence on the property.

Arrested: Arturo Caro-Andrade, 19 yoa, Santa Fe, NM
Two Deputies were stopped in traffic at a red light facing eastbound on Airport Road at South Meadows. (Behind the defendant) The above named defendant was leading the group of vehicles at the light and intentionally revved the engine to his vehicle in anticipation for the light to turn green. Once the light changed to green, the defendant spun his rear tires for several seconds and accelerated eastbound from the light at a high rate of speed in heavy traffic. The two Deputies intercepted the defendant and he was arrested and charged with Reckless Driving. He was booked accordingly.
