A Sheriff's Deputy located the above named individual operating a motor vehicle at said location. The defendant was initially found to be stopped on the side of the road. When the Deputy stopped to render aide to the motorist, the vehicle began to drive away. The Deputy stopped the vehicle and found the defendant to be behind the wheel with 4 pints of Lord Calvert Liquor, two of which the seals were broken and one quarter full. The defendant refused to submit to field sobriety testing and had to be physically removed from the vehicle. He was transported to St. Vincent Hospital where a legal blood draw was conducted. While entering the hospital, the defendant attempted to head-but a Deputy on the facial area. It was also determined following the Deputies contact with the defendant, that a 911 call was placed by a civilian reporting the drunk driver on the highway. A motor vehicle division license inquiry revealed that the defendant's license was revoked and he had eight prior DWIs. He was booked accordingly into the Santa Fe County Jail.
