The mission of the Santa Fe County Water/Wastewater Operations is to provide safe and reliable water and sewer utility service to its customers in an efficient and responsible manner. Utility service shall be provided at fair and reasonable prices with courteous, timely and responsive customer service.

Domestic Well Metering Update

Santa Fe County’s domestic well metering database was launched last week. Over 800 letters were sent out to residents in the County. These letters were meant to be sent out ONLY to property owners or businesses who have water restriction covenants on their domestic wells and which were voluntarily accepted as a condition of their plat approval by the County. These requirements are outlined in County Ordinance 2002-13 and 2004-7. All other residents of Santa Fe County are exempt from this requirement.

If you are on a community water system, mutual domestic water system, or on the County water system, you should not have received a letter and are asked to please disregard the notice.
