County Commission Initiatives

  • Youth Conservation Corp. Commission Grant through NM Energy Minerals and Natural Resources Department
  • A resolution supporting the assessment of the Feasibility, Commercialization and Deployment of Microgrid systems within Santa Fe County to support economic and workforce development, broad renewable energy penetration and effective energy conservation solutions
  • Reducing the amount of required Affordable Housing from 30 percent to 15 percent of the Total Housing provided in a major project, and reducing from 16 percent to 8 percent the required Affordable Housing provided in a minor project
  • Resolution No. 2012-51 recognize the Galiesto Basin Conservation Initiative Plan as a model for Watershed, Natural Resources and Green Infrastructure planning
  • Resolution No. 2012-52, to establish a Solid Waste Task Force to develop and submit alternatives to the Santa Fe Board of County Commissioners for revising the county’s solid waste management policy to improve solid waste disposal services for Santa Fe County residents
  • Resolution No. 2012-56, allowing the public to provide public comment on proposed county resolutions
