Santa Fe County residents in the La Tierra area should expect pressure reduction and possible water outages on January 31, 2015, due to a main line water leak. Mission Statement

The Santa Fe County Attorney's Office serves as legal counsel to the Board of County Commissioners of Santa Fe County, the County Manager, elected officials, and certain boards and commissions. 

What We Do

  • Represent the Board of County Commissioners, the County Manager, elected officials, and certain boards and commissions in federal and state courts.

  • Review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other documents.

  • Reviews proposed ordinances, resolutions, polices and procedures.

  • Assist Santa Fe County staff and officials with understanding and complying with state and federal laws which apply to the County, including the Open Meetings Act, Inspection of Public Records Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disabilities Act and Family and Medical Leave Act.
